The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), College of Medicine, Department of Radiation Medicine is seeking a third full-time radiation oncologist to work at MUSC Health/Tidelands Health Radiation Therapy Center, a satellite facility located in beautiful Murrells Inlet, SC. New graduates and early-career board-certified/board-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply. The center is a strategic partnership between the Medical University of South Carolina and the closely aligned Tidelands Health. He/she is expected to join the current experienced Radiation Oncologists and will be integrated into the overall programs of the Medical University of South Carolina and the Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI-designated cancer center. The physician is expected to carry faculty rank based on experience and would have the opportunity to participate in clinical trials, resident education, and multidisciplinary patient care. The Murrells Inlet facility is an American College of Radiology-accredited center and is well situated technologically, with two Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators, CT-simulator, ARIA oncology EMR, and the Eclipse treatment planning system. Staffing includes full-time onsite MUSC nursing, dosimetry, and physics.
Surrounded by Huntington Beach State Park and Litchfield Beach to the south, and Surfside Beach and Myrtle Beach to the north, Murrells Inlet is a beach-lover’s paradise. With the Waccamaw river and National Wildlife Refuge bordering to the west and multiple golf courses in between, ample outdoor activities are just outside your door. Located 1.5 hours north of Charleston, the Grand Strand area is one of the fastest growing regions of the country.
