Description
Medical City Healthcare seeks an experienced RN Oncology to deliver compassionate, evidence-based cancer care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The RN will provide comprehensive assessment, chemotherapy and biotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient/family education for individuals across the oncology continuum. This role collaborates closely with oncologists, pharmacists, and an interdisciplinary team to coordinate complex treatment plans, support clinical trials, and promote safety and quality outcomes. Ideal candidates bring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to oncology best practices and continuous learning.Provide direct oncology nursing care to adult patients across the cancer care continuum
Administer chemotherapy, targeted therapies, and blood products per protocol and safety standards
Monitor, assess, and document patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, side effects, and symptom management
Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to coordinate care
Manage central lines, ports, and infusion devices, ensuring adherence to infection-control practices
Participate in tumor boards, interdisciplinary rounds, and care conferences as assigned
Support clinical trials and adherence to evidence-based oncology nursing standards
Precept and mentor new nurses and support staff in oncology best practices
Contribute to quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and unit-based projects
