Description
Medical City Healthcare seeks a compassionate RN Oncology professional to deliver specialized cancer care within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. The RN will provide comprehensive assessments, administer chemotherapy and related therapies, manage symptoms, and coordinate multidisciplinary care plans for oncology patients. Responsibilities include patient and family education, central line management, accurate EHR documentation, and participation in quality and safety initiatives. We value evidence-based practice, teamwork, and continuous learning, and offer opportunities to grow in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment dedicated to excellence in cancer care.Provide evidence-based oncology nursing care to adult patients across the cancer care continuum
Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive treatments safely and accurately
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor treatment responses and side effects
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in collaboration with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, symptom management, and survivorship care
Manage central lines, infusions, and other oncology-specific procedures per protocol
Document all care and patient interactions accurately in the EHR
Advocate for patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to quality standards
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and oncology-related education
Precept and support new staff, contributing to a collaborative team culture
Oncology nursing

Electronic Health Records (EHR)
Medication administration
Patient and family education
Interdisciplinary collaboration
Active RN license in state of practice
BSN preferred
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred
BLS certification required
ACLS preferred
Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification required or obtained within defined timeframe
