Description
Medical City Healthcare is seeking a compassionate RN Oncology to deliver expert cancer care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients across the treatment continuum, including chemotherapy administration, symptom management, and patient education. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized care plans, support patients and families through complex decisions, and uphold the highest standards of safety and quality. Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and supportive medications per protocol and safety standards
Monitor, assess, and document patient status, symptoms, and treatment responses
Manage central lines, transfusions, and oncology-specific procedures
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment plans, side effects, and self-care
Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize care
Advocate for patient comfort, symptom control, and psychosocial support
Maintain accurate EHR documentation and ensure compliance with hospital and regulatory policies
Participate in quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and oncology-specific initiatives
Precept and mentor new staff, contributing to a culture of safety and continuous learning
