The Delta Companies, a frontrunner in healthcare staffing based in Texas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team. This role involves working closely with oncologists to provide exceptional care to patients battling cancer. You will be instrumental in implementing patient care plans, performing patient assessments, and administering treatments. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that prioritizes patient care and staff development.
Assess patient health by interviewing patients; performing physical examinations; obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as x-rays, electrocardiograms, and laboratory studies; interpreting test results.
Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
Prescribe medications and treatments judiciously, and monitor patients’ responses to therapies.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
Guide patients and their families by explaining the treatment options, medication risks and benefits, and self-care techniques; answering questions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to handle emotional situations involving serious illnesses
Proficient in clinical skills with the ability to work under pressure

Current active Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
Certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
